what started it all...

It seems the United States is on fire with all things Bigfoot. A resurgence once again has gripped the masses or so it seems. Why? For me, it all started way back in 1988; I wanted to learn to hunt Wild Turkeys. My Dad worked Offshore for Shell Oil Co. and had a good friend and colleague who was from Mt. Olive, MS, was a Turkey Hunter and was just a few miles north of Collins, MS. I met Jerry Sullivan on our first hunt in 1988 and the rest was history. A long illustrious career in learning the ways of a Wild Turkey Chaser; I say "Chaser," because most of the time that's what's done. I grew into a pretty good Turkey Killer as well. Taking my share of birds in and around the Counties of Covington, Smith, Lamar, Amite, Franklin, Claiborne, and Walthall to name a few.

Fast forward to 5-months ago... A friend of mine calls me one night and says, "You have got to listen to this Bigfoot encounter on the web..." I say no way...what's this all about? He explains that the encounter took place somewhere I am very connected to and adore. I say where? He says, Collins, MS. I couldn't believe it! For me, I had always enjoyed the "idea" of Bigfoot existing. I was not well versed on the subject and had always figured that if a Creature was to exist, it would definitely be somewhere out West like Northern Cali, Oregon, Washington State and into B.C., Canada and even Alaska. How in the hell could a Bigfoot be in Mississippi and not only that, in an area I was so familiar with and so close to? That encounter belonged to Kerry Arnold of Poplarville, MS and Bigfoot Odyssey. His encounter story aired on Wes Germer's "Sasquatch Chronicles" podcast - episode 444. After listening to the horrifying and disturbing encounter, I quickly contacted him as I had to know more about this issue. Within these 5-months Kerry and I became truly good friends. Late night phone calls lasting 1-2 hours sometimes on all things Southern Bigfoot and his encounter were had quite often. I think he recognized that I had an interest and link to that area as he did, although mine was not as terrifying as his, he could understand my need to "know" more as well as why I was so drawn into the subject.

Since then, I have become Bigfoot Odyssey's Website Master, Facebook Moderator, Video/Production Consultant, Cameraman and now - Bigfoot Researcher with my own endeavor, Bigfoot Xplorer. In these past 5-months I have learned a great deal about these Creatures, more so than ever before. I am better off as well as we move forward to bring awareness and exposure to folks with whom are either skeptics, on the fence or believers. Bigfoot Xplorer aims to hit the ground with boots in the field to search for evidence, discover new skills/techniques to gather that evidence and to network with like-minded folks/groups in the southern states, primarily Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama and learn what they have discovered on their own Bigfoot journeys. I too have created my own YouTube Channel, Bigfoot Xplorer to showcase my own journey into the world of the best known Cryptid we know as - BIGFOOT.

If you or someone you know has had an encounter OR you are a Researcher yourself or in a Group - reach out to us so we may Network together in our validation for the truth which is, They Exist!
